Default start date of analysis is changing to 1 July 2018

On 1 April 2018, Optimo is scheduled to swap the start date for the analysis of new Pathfinder cases to 1 July 2018 (i.e. the 2018/19 financial year).  Optimo makes this change on April 1 each year because we generally find that in the last three months of the financial year, it’s neater to start cases from the start of the next financial year.

 This means that:

• For any cases created after 1 April 2018, the default will be for the analysis to start on 1 July 2018

  • The results and reports will start from 2018/19 and will no longer include 2017/18

• Any cases you’ve already created (or will create before 1 April), will be unchanged.

• When doing data entry in Pathfinder, please be mindful that 2017/18 may still display in some menus even if it isn’t included your case’s analysis. So, if you want to choose the first year of analysis make sure you actually pick 2018/19 and not just the first year on the list

Please Contact Optimo Financial, if you would like to change the start date for a case, for example:

• The case was created before 1 April 2018, and you would like to move the start date forward to 2018/19

• The case was created after 1 April 2018, and you would like to move the start date back to include the 2017/18 financial year. e.g. the individuals would like to do something important before the end of the financial year, such as making super contributions while they are still eligible.
