Technical update: Budget 2025, Tax rates, AWOTE and more (Dolphin v5)

Overview

The Technical database hass ben updated to reflect changes from the 2025/26 Budget and also some general annual indexation of various thresholds.

Reduction of lowest marginal tax rate

The 2025 Budget modified the first tax rate from 16% to 15% in 2026/27 and 15% to 14% in 2027/28. This has now been updated in Pathfinder.

NOTE: The Maximum super contributions base for 2025/26 is $62,500 whereas for 2024/25 it is $65,070 (ie. it has been reduced rather than indexed). The reason is that the super guarantee increases to 12% next year while the Concessional cap for 25/26 is $30,000. So 62500 x 4 x 0.12 = 30,000. The base has to be reduced to accommodate this.
