Family Home results

For general tips about reading the results, see the Results step.

You can see results about the family home in the following places.

Strategy summary step

Go to the Results step on the top menu, and then choose the Strategy summary sub-step.

On this page, you will see sections for: 

  • Family home - this will show projected home value, and its current value or, for a new home, its purchase price 

  • Any associated loans will be listed directly after the home (for more, see Secured Loan (mortgage) results)

Cash flows & Action items step

Go to the Results step top menu, and then choose the Cash flows & action items sub-step.

In the Cash flows report:

  • The Revenue section lists the following lines (if in the strategy):

    • Proceeds of the family home, if it is sold

  • The Expenditure section lists the following items (if in the strategy):

      • Disposal costs, if the family home is sold

      • Acquisition costs and purchase price, if the home is purchased

In the Action items (underneath the table), there will be action items in the year the family home is bought or sold.

Detailed reports step

Go to the Results step on the top menu, and then choose the Detailed reports sub-step.

The following reports may be useful (these reports list values for every year in the analysis):

  • Consolidated > Assets and Loans > (family home name) - this report lists information about the property value, loan, LVR and offset.  It also has sub-reports for more details.

  • Property buy and sell summary (under Consolidated) - this gives an overview of all the properties in the case, and year-by-year, whether they are owned or not, and what year they are bought or sold

  • Loans repayment summary and Loans borrowing summary (under Consolidated) - this gives an overview of all the loans in the case, including the loan balance, loan repayment, interest, and minimum repayment.

Adjusting your results

If you would like to change something in the results or make another scenario for comparison, you need to change your input data and solve again. See Family home (and Secured loan) for data entry tips, or the following for more tips:
