Subscription FAQs

How do subscriptions work?

Optimo Pathfinder subscriptions are charged quarterly and entitle the user to add and edit an unlimited number of cases during their paid subscription period. If you cancel your subscription, then, when your subscription ends, you can no longer add cases or edit the cases you added during your subscription.

The two types of log ins, are described, below.

Adviser logins:

  • ‘Adviser’ logins can add cases and their name appears as the ‘Adviser’ in downloaded results documents. An organisation can have multiple adviser logins.

  • If your login paid for a subscription, it is an adviser login

  • An individual should have an adviser log in if they are responsible for giving advice to clients and they use Pathfinder data to help create that advice (either because they use Pathfinder themselves, or their support staff use Pathfinder on their behalf)

  • One of the adviser logins within an organisation is responsible for billing (i.e. has the saved credit card detail used for payments, can cancel the subscription)

  • The adviser login receives email notifications (e.g. billing, reminders about cases being locked)

Support staff logins:

  • Support staff logins are optional additional logins for staff that assist in producing the advice, such as data entry, paraplanning or document creation (but aren’t are responsible for giving advice to clients). If a user is responsible for providing advice to their clients, then they shouldn’t have a support log in, they should have an adviser log in.

  • These logins can view and edit cases that were added by ‘adviser’ logins, but can’t add their own cases.

  • For each paying ‘adviser’ login, two free support logins are included.
To request even more support staff logins, please Contact Optimo Financial.

Trial subscriptions

What is a trial subscription

  • A trial subscription lets you add unlimited cases and use Pathfinder’s full modelling fuctionality for 14 days

  • No credit card is required

  • If you have never had a subscription before, you will be eligible for a trial subscription.

  • At the end of the trial, if you want to keep editing your cases or add new ones, you can sign up for a paid subscription or purchase single cases.

To sign up for a trial subscription:

  1. Log in to Pathfinder https://app.optimopathfinder.com.au/

  2. Click the Add new case button

  3. You will be taken to a payment page where you will see the subscription option with a 14-day trial available (if the 14-day trial option isn’t visible, then it means you have already used your trial)

  4. At the end of the trial, your cases will be locked.  If you want to edit any of these cases after they have been locked, you can:

    1. Start a paid subscription - this will unlock any cases from the trial that are less than 90 days old

    2. Buy a single case and add it, then Contact Optimo Financial and ask to have the data from the locked case copied to your new case

Typically, it will be charged on the same day of the month as your first payment (e.g. 1 August, 1 November, 1 February), with minor adjustments when months are uneven (e.g. if you made your first payment on 31 March, then your next quarterly payment will be charged 30 June)

  • The payment is direct debited on the credit card you have securely saved in Pathfinder

  • When your payment is processed, an invoice/receipt will be emailed to the email that is associated with your Pathfinder log in

  • If Pathfinder cannot process your payment (e.g. insufficient funds on your card), then you will receive emails about when Pathfinder will try to charge your card again. If we cannot process the payment, your subscription will be cancelled.
