Subscription FAQs
How do subscriptions work?
Optimo Pathfinder subscriptions are charged quarterly and entitle the user to add and edit an unlimited number of cases during their paid subscription period. If you cancel your subscription, then, when your subscription ends, you can no longer add cases or edit the cases you added during your subscription.
The two types of log ins, are described, below.
Adviser logins:
‘Adviser’ logins can add cases and their name appears as the ‘Adviser’ in downloaded results documents. An organisation can have multiple adviser logins.
If your login paid for a subscription, it is an adviser login
An individual should have an adviser log in if they are responsible for giving advice to clients and they use Pathfinder data to help create that advice (either because they use Pathfinder themselves, or their support staff use Pathfinder on their behalf)
One of the adviser logins within an organisation is responsible for billing (i.e. has the saved credit card detail used for payments, can cancel the subscription)
The adviser login receives email notifications (e.g. billing, reminders about cases being locked)
Support staff logins:
Support staff logins are optional additional logins for staff that assist in producing the advice, such as data entry, paraplanning or document creation (but aren’t are responsible for giving advice to clients). If a user is responsible for providing advice to their clients, then they shouldn’t have a support log in, they should have an adviser log in.
These logins can view and edit cases that were added by ‘adviser’ logins, but can’t add their own cases.
For each paying ‘adviser’ login, two free support logins are included.
To request even more support staff logins, please Contact Optimo Financial.
For pricing, please see How to request a quote for a subscription .
Also please note:
If you have a subscription, you can also request Optimo Pathfinder add-ons

How to cancel a subscription
To cancel your paid subscription:
At least one day before your subscription renewal payment is charged, please email support@optimofinancial.com.au and say that you would like to cancel your subscription. Please note that more than one day’s notice is preferred. Please contact us using the email address that was used to subscribe to Pathfinder (or cc this email on your request), so we know you have the authority to cancel.
We will reply to your email to confirm that your subscription has been cancelled and confirm the last active day of your subscription (which will be the same as your original renewal date)
You can continue to add and edit cases until the last active day of your subscription. After that, you will no longer be able to add or edit cases.
Please note:
To ensure that your next payment does not go ahead, you must cancel at least the day before the subscription renewal date. This date is shown on your Manage account page
After you cancel, but before your subscription period ends, you will still be able to edit cases and add new ones.
After your subscription period ends, you will not be able to:
Edit cases added from subscriptions. All your cases will be locked.
Add new cases.
If you have a trial subscription, then you don’t need to cancel it. The trial will end after 14-days and no further action is required (you were not asked for your credit card details, so you won’t be charged).
Keeping track of your subscription
Most of the administration for your payments can be found under the Manage account page. To go there:
Log in to Pathfinder: https://app.optimopathfinder.com.au
Click your name on the top right
In the drop down menu, click Manage account
You will also receive emails when significant actions happen with your subscription (e.g. renewal payment has been processed, renewal payment failed).
Payment processing
How often do I get charged the subscription fee?
Subscriptions are charged quarterly (i.e. every three months). Typically, it will be charged on the same day of the month as your first payment (e.g. 1 August, 1 November, 1 February), with minor adjustments when months are uneven (e.g. if you made your first payment on 31 March, then your next quarterly payment will be charged 30 June)
The payment is direct debited on the credit card you have securely saved in Pathfinder
When your payment is processed, an invoice/receipt will be emailed to the email that is associated with your Pathfinder log in
If Pathfinder cannot process your payment (e.g. insufficient funds on your card), then you will receive emails about when Pathfinder will try to charge your card again. If we cannot process the payment, your subscription will be cancelled.
How do I find the renewal date for my subscription?
Go to the Mange account page
At the bottom of this page, in the Plan details section, the date of your next renewal payment will be listed
How do I change my credit card details?
